Laura Sant is a writer and illustrator focused on food, drink, and travel. Originally trained as a graphic designer, she left her job as an art director at an ad agency in 2009 to pursue a love of food, a meandering journey which took her to the French Pastry School in Chicago, where she studied baking and pastry; to Brooklyn, where she worked as a pastry cook; and then to Manhattan to work as an editor at Saveur. Now freelance, her work has been featured in Saveur, Departures, Eater, Racked, Travel + Leisure, and other publications. When not at her desk, you can find her baking, taking photos, and hanging out with her ornery tabby cat, Louie. She currently lives in Richmond, Virginia.
