Laura Sant is a Virginia-based illustrator that specializes in food and drink illustration, surface pattern design, and hand-lettered art with bright color palettes and textured, playful details.

She draws on nearly two decades of experience as a designer and artist, a culinary background as a trained pastry cook, and years spent working as an editor at food and travel magazines.

Her art and writing have been featured in publications like Saveur, Departures, and Travel & Leisure, as well as on book covers, puzzles, and greeting cards. She also designs repeat patterns for use on fabric, gift wrap, packaging, and paper goods.

Besides food, cooking, and cocktail culture, her artwork is inspired by flora; fauna (especially cats); and the various cities she’s called home over the years, including Richmond, Chicago, and New York City.

She currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with her husband, her son, two cats, and an occasional litter of foster kittens.
