Laura Sant is a Richmond, Virginia-based illustrator and designer specializing in food and beverage editorial illustration, illustrated maps, and brand design.

She partners with editorial clients and publishers as well as restaurants, products, and producers to craft compelling visuals that tell a story, blending a playful illustration style with a thoughtful foundation in design.

Her work is informed by over a decade of experience as an artist and designer, a culinary foundation as a trained pastry cook, and years spent editing, writing, and illustrating for food and travel titles. She previously served as an editor at Saveur, and her art and writing have also been featured in publications like Departures and Travel & Leisure, as well as on book covers, puzzles, and greeting cards.

Besides food, cooking, and cocktail culture, her work is inspired by flora; fauna (especially cats); and the various cities she’s called home over the years, including Richmond, Chicago, and New York City.

She currently lives in Richmond with her husband, her son, two cats, and an occasional litter of foster kittens.
